The Government is fostering innovation that improves services for NSW citizens.
For example, this Budget invests $178 million over two years for the enhancement of critical communication services used by frontline health, emergency and law enforcement officers, helping the men and women who serve on our front lines to better protect our citizens.
Government agencies are taking advantage of online services to improve customer experiences. For example, the Department of Planning and Environment is working to implement online lodgement of development applications and complying development certificates on the NSW Planning Portal. This will cut the time it takes homeowners and builders to submit a development application from up to 10 days to less than 30 minutes.
The Government is also investing $20.1 million to complete the Service NSW network of service centres, by transitioning 24 motor registries in regional and rural communities to Service NSW service centres. This will make it easier for people to access government services.
