The 2022-23 Budget has ambitious goals—to elevate, innovate and reinvigorate our economy, and make New South Wales the best state to work, live and raise a family, while we continue to safeguard the health and prosperity of the community.

Overview

Take a top-level view of the 2022-23 NSW Budget—a transformational plan of reform for New South Wales that will continue to unleash the great productive potential of the people of the State. This Budget includes a record $112.7 billion spend on infrastructure, as well as a broad spectrum of measures to support families—including $7.2 billion to boost household budgets, $3.8 billion to give children the best start to life, and $3.3 billion to support sustainability and the clean economy.

Regional NSW

Regional New South Wales is home to some of our most beautiful sights and most vital industries. The 2022-23 NSW contains a wide range of measures to support our regional communities, particularly in the wake of significant challenges—including a historic drought, Black Summer bushfires, mice plague, devastating storms and floods, and COVID-19.

Western Sydney is the third-largest economy in Australia, after the Sydney and Melbourne CBDs. More than 2.2 million people call Western Sydney home.
